The Maple Custom Golden Roll
This Golden Roll is custom made for Sam Rutherford

When Sam Rutherford decided he wanted a new banjo, with maple wood instead of mahogany or walnut, he chose to have us build a custom Golden Roll. The reasons for this choice might not be apparent, but Sam also owns a Golden Black Jack and two other Golden Rolls ­ one mahogany and one walnut.

This one has a maple neck and resonator.



The head piece inlay is the same as on previous Golden Rolls.






Note the figured maple on the back and sides of the resonator, as well as the engraved gold hardware and fancy "Christmas Tree" purfling.
